Mission & Interests

Goals: The German Construction Confederation ZDB (Zentralverband Deutsches Baugewerbe) is the employers' and trade association of the medium-sized German construction industry. It represents the interests of about 35,000 small and medium-sized owner-operated construction companies occupying 70 % of all employees and apprentices of the construction industry. As the largest trade association in the sector, it represents the entire spectrum of the construction industry from clas-sical building construction, road construction and civil engineering to finishing work. ZDB brings together both small, owner-managed companies with a strong handicraft tradition and large medium-sized companies. ZDB is social partner.
