Activities
Main EU Legislative Proposals: Youth Democratic Movement Vesna proposals mainly concern European Union migration legislation. We were advocating for changing the schengen visa issuing policy with Russia, as well as changing asylum policies for them to be accepting Russian conscientious objectors and anti-war activists. Our representative provided these proposals while taking part in a DROI hearing on the topic "Conscientious objection as a human right and in particular, Russian conscientious objectors" held on 2 March 2023. We were not required to name any specific EU policies that we would want to change.
Communication Activities: Participation in European Parliament's Subcommittee on Human Rights and unofficial migration group as a speaker.
