BuildingLife
BuildingLife is a regional project. It brings together a coalition of twelve Green Building Councils across Europe to drive decarbonisation of the building sector through private sector action and public sector policy. The project is supporting and accelerating the ambitions of the EU’s Green Deal in the building sector. The project has led to outputs including an EU whole life carbon roadmap with policy recommendations towards the full decarbonisation of the sector by 2050. National roadmaps have also been developed by twelve GBCs across Europe. Further details available here https://www.worldgbc.org/buildinglife
INDICATE: https://www.indicatedata.com/
INDICATE is an accelerator offering a project framework and co-funding to support efforts to generate much-needed building-level WLC data in Europe. National partnerships have been forged between industry, academia, and national government. INDICATE is currently supporting 3 selected EU countries - Czechia, Ireland and Spain - to increase the quality, quantity, and application of building-level LCA data, to manage and minimize the WLC footprint of buildings.
Built4People: https://www.ectp.org/built4people/
Built4People (B4P) is a European partnership under Horizon Europe. The partnership aims to catalyse the transition to a people-centric, climate-neutral, sustainable and smart built environment
Over its 7-year span, B4P will channel nearly €400 million of EU funding to innovation in the sector and leverage an equivalent amount of private investment. The innovation catalysed will help ensure the built environment plays a key role in delivering the European Green Deal, sustaining the ambitious objectives of the Renovation Wave, and aligning with the bold aims of the New European Bauhaus. B4P is a co-programmed partnership in Horizon Europe’s Cluster 5 (Climate, Energy and Mobility). It brings together the European Commission (EC) and two leading associations, ECTP and WorldGBC, who together represent thousands of stakeholders and perspectives across the built environment – from research & innovation institutes to construction companies large and small.
NEBULA: https://worldgbc.org/article/nebula-project/
Built4People (B4P) is a European partnership under Horizon Europe. The partnership aims to catalyse the transition to a people-centric, climate-neutral, sustainable and smart built environment. One of the key actions to be implemented by the Built4People (B4P) partnership is to develop and connect national or regional Innovation Clusters in line with Horizon Europe to maximise innovation impacts.
The NEBULA projects builds upon the B4P partnership as well as the New European Bauhaus initiative to activate and nurture a network of B4P Innovation Clusters, by implementing:
• Improved visibility, adoption and uptake of innovative solutions that are in line with the New European Bauhaus thanks to increased awareness on benefits from innovation and better access to co-financing,
• Intensified, cross-sectorial and interdisciplinary peer-learning from front runners as well as cross-border cooperation and networking,
• Preparation for the long-lasting activities of the network of B4P Innovation Clusters and the integration of the next clusters.
Nebula slowly will transition to the Star*Track project, where we will help the Built4People Innovation Clusters to establish themselves and grow
EU Taxonomy Working Group
The EU Taxonomy Working Group supports the development of the sustainability criteria for the built environment and facilitates the implementation of the EU Taxonomy. Specifically it aims to:
Provide simple introductory guidance on the EU Taxonomy.
Ensure the EU Taxonomy and future taxonomies in other regions are fit for purpose for the built environment.
