Organisation Members: Global Alliance for Media Innovation (GAMI): Global Alliance for Media Innovation is the network for innovation within the World Association of Newspapers and News Publishers. Following the launch of the Global Alliance for Media Innovation during WAN-IFRA’s World Congress in June 2014, we have established a brain trust of stakeholders involved in research and innovation for news media. The core of this group is composed of pioneers, media organisations (publishers and suppliers), and academic research labs dealing with technology transfer and research programmes in Europe (Norway, Finland, Sweden, Denmark, UK), the Americas (Brazil, USA, Canada), and Southeast Asia (Singapore, Japan).https://media-innovation.news/ World Editors Forum: The World Editors Forum is the leading global community of editors and is an integral part of WAN-IFRA. We stand up for a free press, quality journalism and newsroom transformation, and have been doing so for over 25 years. We work with editors to shape their newsrooms for the future. We do so by identifying innovation and trends, tools and best practices. We share this intelligence through our blog, newsletter, meetings, networking events, conferences, research and study tours. https://wan-ifra.org/world-editors-forum/ Women in News: The WAN-IFRA Women in News initiative equip women journalists and editors with the skills, strategies, and support networks to take on greater leadership positions, while partnering with media to identify industry-led solutions to close the gender gap in their newsrooms, boardrooms, and in the content they produce. http://www.womeninnews.org/ UNESCO: WAN-IFRA as an associate status partnership with UNESCO. UNESCO has built up over the years a valuable network of cooperation in its fields of competence with nongovernmental organizations (NGOs) representing civil society. This partnership bears witness to the importance of the work of those organizations alongside government-sponsored action in international cooperation in the service of peoples for development, equality, international understanding and peace.
