Goals: WfWP is a unique partnership of organizations and networks of women’s organizations, women lead organizations or CSO/ CBOs with a strong focus on gender and women's participation, uniting women leadership in around 120 predominantly low and middle-income countries in Africa, Asia, Latin America and the Caribbean, Europe, Caucasus and Central Asia, reaching over one and a half million women. WfWP uses "water" as an entry point to women’s empowerment and to improve equitable access to water for all, for all uses. Women traditionally have vast experience in the water sector and the crucial role they play in effective and efficient water management is increasingly acknowledged and supported by evidence. Involving all genders in integrated water resources leads to better sustainability, governance and efficiency. WfWP draws from a magnitude of diverse expertise relating to different topics in the broad water-gender-sustainable development nexus.
