Main EU Legislative Proposals: We are following Energy & Climate Policy, in particular relating to the European Green Deal, as well as Trade Policy & Competitiveness, Chemicals Policy, Environmental Policy, Industrial Policy and Innovation and Research. Communication Activities: We contribute to activities/discussions/policies which are targeting the re-built of an PV industry in Europe. We are member of the European Solar Industry Alliance which is focusing on facilitating investments in new PV manufacturing capacities. Other fields of our activities refer to providing our input to discussions/policies around the energy market design, electricity prices, carbon border adjustment mechanisms and CO2-pricing mechanisms. We are also involved in the discussions/policies around chemicals and their usage (REACH, F-Gas regulation). With regard to trade we are interested party to the Si-Metal Trade case. For all these topics we are exchanging informations and views with EU COM officials and providing additional background information to the EU COM on demand to support their activities.

Info Members: WACKER has one employee at the Brussels office dedicated to EU Governmental Relations. Nearly all WACKER employees engaged in activities falling under the scope of the transparency register are not professional full time lobbyists but interact with the EU institutions project as part of their broader responsibilities (general management, sales, legal department, etc.) or when their expert knowledge is requested.To some extend WACKER gets support from external professional consultancies or law firms for above mentioned activities.
