Goals: The VOA - Association of Public Waste Management Companies was founded in 2020 and represents the interests of municipal waste management companies in Austria. Member organisations are waste management companies mainly held by public owners serving some 6 million of Austrian population with all their various services. The members' fields of activity range from waste collection to treatment facilities, such as sorting or composting plants, and to thermal treatment plants for energy generation, amended by advisory of waste prevention and awareness raising for circular economy. Focus area are: Implementing the circular economy and climate protection together & ensuring affordable, successful and modern services of general public interest in the long term.
