Mission & Interests

Goals: At Vital Energy, we are deeply committed to advancing decarbonization, promoting circularity, and combating climate change. Our innovative approach to sustainable solid waste management surpasses landfill diversion regulations by employing a proprietary thermochemical treatment that serves as a superior alternative to traditional incineration. Our process transforms residuals from municipal and nonhazardous industrial waste into valuable products, ensuring their beneficial reuse. Collaborating with key partners, our experienced core team leverages proprietary engineering in energy recovery and air emissions control. This enables the conversion of waste to valuable syngas for energy production and the synthesis of new biofuels (RFNBO). Our thermocatalytic synthesis process eliminates chemicals and pollutants from the waste lifecycle. Our fuels provide a critical alternative to fossil fuel dependence and contribute to a cleaner sustainable future. i.e.Green Methanol for Maritime /SAF.

Circular Economy; eliminate waste and pollution, circulate products and materials (at their highest value), and regenerate nature. 4. Delegated Act: methodology for renewable fuels on non-biological origin, defines under which conditions hydrogen, hydrogen-based fuels, or other energy carriers can be considered as renewable fuels of non-biological origin (RFNBO). 5. Renewable Energy Directive (Art. 2.36): RFNBO fuels 6. FuelEU Maritime Regulation 7. Just Transition Policy; Cohesion Policy; Fit for 55; EU's Emissions Trading System (EU ETS)
Communication Activities: Preliminary, introduction. Information correspondence with the FuelEU Transport and Maritime Division (#4, 5, & 6) to understand what communities of innovation are available for breakthrough tech/ green tech initiatives in the EU Member zone. Complementary Information: VitalEnergy responded to an international Regional Innovation call for conversion technology; residue material -waste to energy and fuels. Our proprietary conversion technology is TRL8-9 ready. The expectation is a pending grant provision via RRF/or Cohesion policy. Upon 31 companies' evaluation, our solution was recommended #1. The goal to enter the EU with our proprietary technology was through the means of a project grant. However, 1.5 years has lagged and VEI will now pivot its approach to the market by applying requisite knowledge and demand via commercial project FDI, PPP Infrastructure, BOOM approach to commercial tender(s). Numerous tenders are expected to be issued in Q3 & Q4 2024 in two EU member Zones. VitalEnergy is essentially an SME / SPV start-up, with local operating JV partners, until our first project commencement.

Organisation Members: RLCF Alliance is the main focus for our company at the moment. The decarbonisation of transport is one of the most ambitious goals of the Fit for 55 reform package presented by the European Commission. To achieve this objective, all low-carbon technologies must contribute. Renewable and low-carbon fuels offer an alternative to conventional fossil-based fuels to reduce emissions in all modes of transportation and achieve climate neutrality by 2050. The launch of the Renewable and Low-Carbon Fuels Value Chain Industrial Alliance is an essential tool for their development. This initiative, launched by Commissioner Adina Valean in April 2022, aims to ensure that aviation and waterborne transport have sufficient access to low-carbon fuels while considering the future use of these fuels in land-based transport, and thus contributing to the reduction in the transport sector’s GHG emissions by 90 percent by 2050. FuelsEurope Director pointed out that the key objective of the Alliance to create a pipeline of investment projects for renewable fuels can’t be reached without the involvement of all the relevant stakeholders. Any company (regardless of ownership or location); all stakeholder groups registered in the transparency register; public bodies of EU Member States; and international organizations can join the Alliance and become a member. https://www.fuelseurope.eu/renewable-and-low-carbon-fuels-value-chain-industrial-alliance
