Activities

Main EU Legislative Proposals: Common Agricultural Policy of the EU in particular CMO Regulation of the Council and EP 1308/2013 about organization of market of agricultural products.

Communication Activities: VIRO is via its shareholder company engaged in the sugar business, Hrvatska industrija secera d.d., implementing CMO policies of the EU by fulfilling requirements related to reporting (production, price, stocks, sale, trade) in the sugar sector. The main body to whom data are reported is the Paying Agency in Croatia. One important international event VIRO organised was the CEFS congress in June 2017. CEFS is the European Association of Sugar Producers. At the national level, VIRO is co-organizing annual manifestations in which beet growers are participating, related to the dissemination of knowledge, education, and partnership in economic activities.
