Main EU Legislative Proposals: For those diagnosed and treated early, HIV is now a long-terms, rather than fatal, condition. With our policy and advocacy activities we hope to address the needs generated by increased life expectancy, by looking to improve health outcomes and quality of life of people living with HIV in the long-term. As such the key reccomendations we are supporting are as follows: 1 Adopt an integrated, outcomes-focused and patient-centred approach to long-term HIV care 2 Expand national monitoring of long-term HIV care and outcomes 3 Fund cohort studies to provide information on the long-term health of people living with HIV 4 Combat stigma and discrimination within health systems 5 Upscale involvement of the HIV community in priority setting at country level additionally the EU initiatives that we are trying to inform include: 1. Pharmaceutical Strategy 2. IP action plan 3. European Health Union

Communication Activities: Roundtable discussion on achieving the end of HIV by 2030 and the role of Innovation, input into consultations (including EFPIA and GSKs position) on EU policy position on the aforementioned priority areas ( EU General Pharmaceutical Legislation, cultivate policy champions for HIV treatment and prevention ahead of and post EU elections, inform the EU commissions (DG SANTE) priorities on health and HIV in particular
