Mission & Interests

Goals: We are a food waste management group specializing in turning waste into gold in hospitality industry. How we do this alchemy? We provide an IT system called KuMin.Sys, methodology, and solutions to optimize financial results via better planning of production. Our ambition is to revolutionize traditional low tech gastronomy business and become number one global company to help hospitality sector in achieving better results by cutting waste and costs. Our job is to: reduce waste; reduce cost; and increase profitability of gastro business. Fundamental question that we pose is: should a kitchen be run with a lot of waste or instead should it be like efficient Toyota factory where every euro counts? If you measure the waste you can manage the waste. The more you know about it the more you can do something about it, and that’s where technology helps. KuMin.Sys supports kitchens and staff in their daily efforts for optimal production and reduction of food waste.

Activities

Main EU Legislative Proposals: We are interested in the following areas of interest: food waste monitoring, prevention, and management, From Farm to fork strategy, European Green Deal. Our key activities are focusing on organising or participating in meetings and conferences, participating in consultations or hearings as well as preparing position papers, amendments, opinion polls, surveys, etc. targeted to food waste and loss policies. Recently I have been selected as the member of the new mandate of the Commission Expert Group - the EU Platform on FLW. The EU Platform on Food Losses and Food Waste is a collaborative initiative that aims to maximise the contribution of all actors to the SDG 12.3 food loss and waste reduction targets. The Platform supports the Commission, Member States and all actors in the food value chain, including consumer and other non-governmental organisations, in taking action to prevent food losses and food waste without compromising food safety, feed safety and/or animal health. The Platform aids the Commission in identifying and prioritising actions to be taken at EU level and supports all actors in identifying and implementing appropriate actions to take at national, regional and local levels. Its work is of a horizontal, cross-cutting nature, aiming to identify opportunities for prevention of food loss and waste across the food production and consumption chain and facilitate inter-sector cooperation.

Last year in July/August 2021 we have concluded formal registration of the company named Venturis HoReCa PSA. We have kept the website with activities dated before the formal registry mostly to show that we had earlier commenced professional activities on food waste than formal registration.
