Mission & Interests
Goals: Velocys is an international UK-based sustainable fuels technology company. Velocys licenses proprietary Fischer-Tropsch technology for the generation of clean, low carbon, synthetic drop-in aviation and road transport fuel from carbon sources including municipal solid waste, waste woody biomass, or CO2. This technology has been demonstrated at full commercial scale. Ours is one of the few solutions available today for sustainable aviation fuels (SAF), which are critical to decarbonising aviation, especially long-haul.
Velocys is currently developing integrated reference projects in Natchez, Mississippi, USA and one in Immingham, UK, to produce SAF with overall negative lifecycle carbon emissions. We are also developing an e-SAF (power-to-liquids) project in the UK.
Velocys is actively involved with national and international organisations and governments in the common pursuit of zero greenhouse gas emissions via the effective roll-out of SAF supply.
