Mission & Interests

Goals: The Végeken Egészséglélektani Alapítvány (Végeken Mental Health Foundation) was established in 1991 to help and support the mental health research and activities in Hungary. The foundation has a long relationship with the Institute of Behavioural Sciences of the Semmelweis University, taking part in different research, training and implementation projects. Its main expertise is in managing the activities in the field of research in mental health, surveys, organizing conferences, trainings and other activities of knowledge transfer. The Foundation is the Hungarian representative of the European Alliance Against Depression. The Foundation is managing trainings for different professionals, volunteers in mental health, GPs, social workers and youth in the area of self management of mental health, CBT and suicide prevention. The Foundation maintains the telephone hot line services for health care and social care workers.
