Goals: No-profit scientific European foundation with stable large international collaborations on vascular disease (angiology/vascular medicine)with a social view. Active since 1991 as WG, from 1998 as EU Association, from 2018 as EU Foundation. Committed to equity, quality,efficacy of health and well-being, for benefit of vascular patients, society. Main aims:1-Harmonize, coordinate, produce qualified education programs in Angiology/Vascular Medicine (synonymous in EU),training in UEMS Training Centres & VAS qualified Reference Centres Excellence. Cooperation with UEMS x accreditation, activities, general aims. 2-Develop European/International research and position on vascular disease, through collaborative, independent multidisciplinary, EU/Intern Networks 3-Contribute to HS innovation 4-Awareness.Make population active in controlling risk factors,preventing vascular disease 5-Promoting Ang/VascMed specialty in EU-worldwide, turning point for vascular patients&society 6-Equity in health

Complementary Information: VAS is supported by collaborative projects, where most of the costs are covered by different organizations/institutions/members taking part, locally or in specific areas. VAS covers its general organizational costs and provides meeting facilities, e-learning, training, secretariat and administrative activities - all members, including secretary, administrator, technicians and scientific members are working on a voluntary basis. This collaboration is at the heart of VAS' organization.

Expenses for European Angiology Days, accredited platform, accreditation EACCME, special short term low grants are all covered by some of the VAS educational activities (European Postgraduate Course and EU Master, European Courses and VAS European Book on A/VM)
All the expenses for traveling are covered by each member, personally.
For European Angiology Days VAS offers registration fee to all the low income countries, students and young, Ucraina and special requests. In the last 2 years they were organized web live.

Info Members: All VAS members are on voluntary basis. They are all working in universities and hospitals or in organizations related to VAS.
The Board & Advisory Board are responsible for projects as well as organizational management.
The organization has 1 secretary and 1 administrator, both working on a voluntary basis.
All Members dedicate part of their time to participating in Committees, Teams, Working Groups and other initiatives, but these are not considered to be 25% of their working time.
