Mission & Interests
Goals: V5 Initiative is a 501c3 (non profit) incorporated in the United States, since 1991 under the name Alliance for the Family, and in 2015 the name was changed to V5 Initiative. Since then, V5Initiative has focused on the Venezuelan humanitarian, political and environmental crises that are impacting the hemisphere and is tackling the myriad of issues that must be considered as we envision a ‘day after’ the so-called Bolivarian Revolution for the country and the region. V5 Initiative offers consulting services to non-profit organizations that focus on the environment, human rights, democratic and universal values, character education, as well as promoting and networking with intellectual and social entrepreneurs in the Americas who wish to work together in these areas.

She plans to share lessons from her experience in working to prevent human rights and environmental abuses linked to extractive industrial activities and to build sustainable value chains of the extraction and processing of minerals and raw materials and make policy recommendations and discuss prospects for increased EU efforts to prevent or mitigate any adverse impacts of new EU CRM-supply related strategies in non-EU countries, in particular those involved in or at risk of resource-related conflict.
