Mission & Interests

Goals: Toy Industries of Europe (TIE) is the trade association for the European toy industry for which it serves as a discussion platform. TIE's membership comprises 8 national associations representing the industry in the most important markets in the EU, as well as a group of 19 toy manufacturers. TIE provides information on the main issues and challenges for the toy sector in Europe and provides its members with information and advice on legislative developments that will affect the sector. TIE also helps to educate the toy sector about how to comply with relevant legislation - for example on safety - and leads public initiatives to educate consumers about safe play. In 2020 TIE launched the Play for Change Awards aiming to celebrate and promote toy makers' initiatives in the areas of environmental sustainability, diversity and inclusion and providing children with life skills.
