Mission & Interests

Goals: TMG Research gGmbH is a not-for-profit, transdisciplinary think tank and research organisation based in Berlin, Germany. We work towards achieving sustainability by transforming food systems, advancing responsible land governance, promoting nature-based solutions and strengthening urban food futures. Working in collaboration with partners in Europe, Africa, Asia and Latin America, we focus on the enabling conditions for transforming agri-food systems, tackling the climate crisis, and promoting more responsible and inclusive governance of land and natural resources. To develop adapted innovations, we reconcile divergent perspectives, interests, capacities and knowledge systems. We recognise that acting on proposed solutions to sustainability challenges at different levels requires building broad-based alliances to create the necessary leverage for change. Through our projects, we strive to initiate lasting change processes.
