Communication Activities: Cooperation with The Albanian National Parliament, Committee of European Integration, The School of European Integration and Diplomatic School of Brussels regarding the development of the EU Strategy towards Western Balkans region 2024-2029 period.
The project will start with the meetings in the European Institutions (30th of October – 4th of November), where each of the experts will be given the opportunity to meet the main responsible stakeholders for the Western Balkans, in the European Parliament, the European Commission, the European Council, the Permanent Representation in the EU, the Committee of the Regions, EESC and NATO. Our aim is that during the time they will write their research (October ‘23-May ’24), they can as well (based on the professional profile), communicate with the relevant stakeholders covering the region in each institution for the drafting of the research.
Afterwards, the group will also attend the European Integration School online (6th November- 10th November), co-organized by the European Union in Albania, the Assembly of Albania, Western Balkans Consulting, FES and Open Society, based on a collaboration we have with the European Integration School. Our memorandum signed with the Albanian National Assembly will give the experts the right to serve as external experts and develop together with The Committee of European Integration team the strategy of integration and as well facilitate in EU Acquis Chapters. https://www.parlament.al/lajme/a8892c42-fe6c-429b-88dd-bedc857f9237?fbclid=IwAR2qegaqxXHa6jIhlsXGbsuHoaW7t_FO0zPeLxd1KasFYIQS1pzDRxOSZMc

The experts selected are from different fields (Economy, Law, Architecture, Technology, Defense, Tourism, Culture, etc.), since the final work, although individual, will be coordinated between them (according to their profile and expertise) for the final product, which we are aiming to present to the leaders of the European Union. (European Commission, European Parliament, Committee of Regions, etc.)
During the program, we will also hold 3 panels with US and EU stakeholders covering the Western Balkans, co-organized with a Think Tank in Washington DC, USA, in order to promote professionally all the experts who will follow this program, as well as have the opportunity to enrich the experts with a trans-Atlantic perspective.
At the final scientific conference, we aim to invite EU Commissioners, relevant stakeholders from EU Institutions, so that our proposals are heard of the EU strategy for the Western Balkans 2024-2029...
The final conference is co-organized with the School of European Integration, Parliament of Albania and Kosovo.
