Activities
Main EU Legislative Proposals: We follow EU policies on climate, agriculture, energy and the financial system.
Communication Activities: We joined the global Wellbeing Economy Alliance in July 2020 and the European Environmental Bureau in 2022, and have a strong research focus on frameworks for successfully orienting the economy towards wellbeing rather than growth as a goal. Areas of research include the financial system, taxation, carbon dividends and the legislative enforcement of emissions caps.
We have made a number of recent submissions to the Irish government, the U.S. government, and the European Commission, which discuss climate change mitigation strategies, improvements to the financial system, risk mitigation, taxation and the EU economic governance framework.
