Goals: The VAT Club goal is to further promote, propagate and develop the research for theory and practice of Value Added Tax and similar taxes as applied in the European Union and elsewhere. In consonance with this, the VAT Club strives to become a valued partner in the public dialogue about the European decision making process on VAT-related subjectsmatters. The setting up of the VAT Club answers the need for an informal, concerted consultation forum between VAT experts of different various European countries. This need arose from the growing internationalisation of trade and the strengthening of an integrated European market.
