Mission & Interests

Goals: The mission of the Terre des Hommes International Federation (TDHIF) is to provide active support to children and youth, without racial, religious, political, cultural or gender-based discrimination. Through our development and humanitarian programs, we work to protect children from poverty, violence and exploitation. TDHIF pledges to support child and youth participation and empowerment, to facilitate and promote meaningful engagement in policy discussions at local, national and global levels. In their own countries and regions, the Terre des Hommes member organisations bring to the attention of the public, including children and young people, the causes of inequalities, together with the rights of the child. They advocate appropriate governmental policies and undertake fund raising activities to achieve their objectives.
