Goals: The Finnish Foundation for Share Promotion (Suomen pörssisäätiö) is a neutral public interest non-governmental organization promoting retail investments in shares and other securities as well as promoting functioning of the capital markets with a special focus on retail investors. We raise public awareness in Finland about the securities markets through its publications, research, training, and events relating to the securities markets. We support academic research by allocating research grants annually. The grants are usually given to post-graduate research and studies relating to the stock market. We actively to promote the development legislation that contributes to better functioning capital markets and corporate governance.

Is Member Of: The Finnish Foundation for Share Promotion is a foundation incorporated under the Finnish Foundation Act. Due to legal characteristics of a Finnish foundation, the Foundation does not have members or beneficiaries. The Foundation has a Board of Directors and a Chief Executive Officer and it is supervised by the Finnish Board of Patents and Registration. The Foundation finances its operations with the rental income of the Helsinki Stock Exchange Building. Founded in 1985, its goal is to promote retail investment and the securities market, as defined in its bylaws.
