Mission & Interests

Goals: Suomen Moottorilentäjien Liiton tarkoituksena on toimia johtavana valtakunnallisena yleishyödyllisenä ilmailun etujärjestönä edistäen Suomen yleis- ja harrasteilmailua sekä toimia valtakunnallisena keskusjärjestönä. Tarkoituksensa toteuttamiseksi liitto edistää ja kehittää Suomen harraste- ja yleisilmailua sekä erityisesti moottorilentotoimintaa valvomalla siviili-ilmailun etuja yhteiskunnassa. Suomen Moottorilentäjien Liitto ry. on perustettu marraskuussa 2011. Suomen Moottorilentäjien Liitto ry. on maailmanlaajuisen IAOPA:n, International Council of Aircraft Owner and Pilot Associations, ja Euroopan alueella toimivan IAOPA Europe'n jäsenjärjestö. IAOPA:n 84 kansallista jäsenjärjestöä ovat voittoa tavoittelemattomia, valtiovallasta riippumattomia itsenäisiä harraste- ja yleisilmailun edunvalvontaorganisaatioita. IAOPA:n jäsenjärjestöjen yhteenlaskettu jäsenmäärä on yli 470 000 ilmailun harrastajaa, jotka harjoittavat yleis- ja harrasteilmailua.

Complementary Information: AOPA Finland is generating income and revenues only by member fees, donations by private persons and companies. AOPA Finland is purely representing the interests of Finnish pilots and aircraft owners. Formed in 2011, AOPA Finland is dedicated to promoting the peaceful uses of general aviation and aerial work nationally without government, EU or political parties subsidies. AOPA Finland do not have hired staff or contract workers or consultants. Promotional work is completely on voluntary basis without any compensation for working time spent.
