Mission & Interests

Goals: Finnish Biocycle and Biogas Association promotes nutrient recyling and the use and development of biogas technology and its knowledge in the society. The Association wants to influence positive development of the biocycle sector field by taking part in the legislative development, by publishing information and by giving presentations in events organized by the Association or other actors. Individuals, companies and other communities with interest in the biogas and nutrien recycling are welcome to join the Finnish Biocycle and Biogas Association

Activities

Main EU Legislative Proposals: The main EU policies we are interested in are the policies on transport, energy, waste and product (fertilizers). In 2023 we have provided feedback for example for the following public consultations: *EU emissions trading system (ETS) – update of the rules for monitoring and reporting emissions
Communication Activities: In November 2020, the Swedish Gas Association (Energigas Sverige) on behalf of Finnish Biocycle and Biogas Assocation, Biogas Danmark and Energigass Norge has sent a letter to Executive Vice-President Timmermans, Commissioner Vălean, Commissioner Simson,Commissioner Wojciechowski,Commissioner Sinkevičius. The letter called the EU policy makers to eliminate regulatory obstacles hampering biogas for mobility.
