Goals: SMK heeft als doel impact maken op het gebied van verduurzaming. SMK werkt als stichting al 30 jaar aan het verduurzamen van producten en bedrijfsvoering. SMK ontwikkelt, beheert en toetst daarvoor duurzaamheidseisen en normen. Dat doen we samen met een uitgebreid netwerk van overheden, producenten, brancheorganisaties, maatschappelijke organisaties, retailers, adviesbureaus, wetenschap en ketenpartijen. We focussen ons op het ontwikkelen, beheren en toetsen van duurzaamheidscriteria. Dit doen we door: Ontwikkelen en beheren van certificatieschema’s voor de uitgifte van keurmerken Controle op het voldoen aan eisen en uitgeven van certificaten Toepassen van certificering Ontwikkelen van ambitieuze en objectieve duurzaamheidsnormen Vorm en inhoud geven aan duurzaamheidsbeleid Ontwikkelen van benchmarks Toetsen van duurzaamheidssystemen en -keurmerken Ondersteuning bij communicatie over keurmerken en programma’s: richtlijnen, kaders en informatievoorziening
