Goals: SQM Europe is a subsidiary of SQM. SQM, a global mining company operating in northern Chile, is present in industries that are strategic for sustainable development, such as health, food, technology and the clean energies that move the world. It is a global leader in each of its five business lines: Specialty Plant Nutrition; Iodine and Derivatives; Lithium and Derivatives; Potassium and Solar Salts.

Main EU Legislative Proposals: SQM is one of the leading producers in the world of lithium, nitrates and iodine chemicals. Therefor we are interested to engage with the EU and its institutions on:

- Corporate Supply Chain Due Diligence Directive

- EU-Chile bilateral trade agreement (FTA) revision
Communication Activities: SQM Europe as a member of the Global Battery Alliance, EASE, IRMA, Eurometaux and ILiA, has supported and/or attended some of these organisations activities. SQM advertises in Politico Europe and Euractiv and has supported events of Politico and EIT Raw Materials as SQM Europe.
