Goals: De Sociaal-Economische Raad (SER) is een adviesorgaan waarin ondernemers, werknemers en onafhankelijke deskundigen (kroonleden) samenwerken, om tot overeenstemming te komen over belangrijke sociaal-economische onderwerpen. De SER adviseert de regering en het parlement over het sociaal-economisch beleid. Ook faciliteert de SER akkoorden en convenanten. Voorbeelden zijn de totstandkoming van het Energieakkoord en diverse convenanten voor internationaal maatschappelijk verantwoord ondernemen. Daarnaast voert de SER bestuurlijke taken uit om bijvoorbeeld medezeggenschap te bevorderen.
