FAIR
We help build economies based on solidarity, cooperation, inclusion and equality, that benefit and empower all food workers and consumers, where everyone is a valued decision-maker

Main EU Legislative Proposals: At EU level, we liaise with the European institutions and collaborate with partner organisations to promote our common vision, influence food policies in the European Union, seeking to change the current food and farming systems. We translate the grassroots experience of our network into policy recommendations and bring to the European level issues that are dealt with at national level.
Specifically in 2024, our advocacy work focuses on the 2024 EU elections; the upcoming reform of the Common Agricultural Policy; the follow up to the Biodiversity Strategy and Farm to Fork Strategy with the new European Commission, in particular the follow up to the proposal for a legislative framework for sustainable food systems (FSFS) (including food environments, food labelling and public procurement). Other policy topics that we will follow: animal welfare, pesticides, climate change, protein strategy, food waste, GMOs and new GMOs, soil health, urban food policies.
