Goals: SINTEF Energy Research is an institute for applied research dedicated to create innovative energy solutions. We offer cutting-edge knowledge in Norway and internationally based on research that provides for our clients added-value solutions and services. SINTEF Energy Research is part of the SINTEF Group, which is one of Europe's largest independent contract research organisations. SINTEF is an independent, not-for-profit organisation. None of its owners receive any form of dividend. Profits are invested in scientific equipment, skills and expertise.

Activities
Main EU Legislative Proposals: SINTEF Energy coordinates and participates in several EU Horizon 2020 and FP7 projects.
Communication Activities: SINTEF endeavours to attend, within a reasonable extent, all relevant EU events and hearings. In addition, SINTEF representatives are regularly invited to speak at policy events organised by the European Parlament, Commission workshops, as well as other stakeholder fora in Brussels. SINTEF also organises its own events, such as round tables, seminars and workshops. In particular, and as a part of deliverables in the RTD programmes, SINTEF organise stakeholder events where programme results are assessed and discussed.
