Mission & Interests
Goals: The Single Window Initiative Estonia is a cluster/network taking Estonia and Europe towards digital transport & logistics solutions, digital supply chains and application of Single Window principles.
The main aim of the initiative is to promote and encourage the digital shift in transport-related information flow for the benefit of all market participants. For reaching the aim, the initiative works consistently on applied research on feasibility of such digitalisation as well as moderates the exchange of best practices while developing the digital solutions and prototypes.
The members and partners of the cluster for the initiative are of wide range- from small to large cargo owners, freight forwarders and transport businesses, infrastructure owners and service providers, ICT developers, research centres, trade and professional associations as well as public sector organisations, all of them eager to gain competitiveness and business savings through cooperation in digital flows.

Activities
Main EU Legislative Proposals: The main activities are directed towards the digitalisation of international freight transport documentation and digital reporting to the public authorities.( n)( n)The actions are directed towards both national and European organisations, institutions and businesses. The most active work in the near past has been contribution to the preparation discussions and the consultation of the eFTI Regulation (2020/1065) and the contribiution to DIGINNO eCMR working group and DIGINNO-Proto project. In the latter, the Initative/Cluster put forward the eCMR indexing concept and architecture and participated in the testing of the prototype live.
Communication Activities: The initiative has been active since summer 2015 and during the time has gathered workshops, yearly seminars and dissemination events.
There is constant academic-industrial applied research activity resulting in regular reviews on the applicability of digital solutions to international freight documentation.
Also, the initiative has been working closely with its members and partners consulting their projects such as e-CMR or business process digitalisation.

Organisation Members: The initiative is not directly a member to any other networks, though interacting and cooperating with similar logistics and digitalisation-related projects and initiatives in other European countries.
Our member and R&D coordinator has been involved in the work of Digital Transport and Logistics Forum (DTLF) - http://www.dtlf.eu (within the first mandate until June 2018) and is the member based on individual merits representing our Initiative/Cluster. The cooperation partner from ERAA is also member of the DTLF.
The DTLF is a group of experts that brings together stakeholders from different transport and logistics communities, from both the private and the public sector, with a view to build a common vision and road map for digital transport and logistics. The DTLF also contributes to identifying needs for measures at EU level and supporting their development and implementation where relevant.
