Communication Activities: Science|Business events and reports often provide a platform for members and clients to present their views on EU and member state innovation policies, as well as opportunities to network and gather information. This can include efforts by members or sponsors to indirectly influence the EU policy making process, as with any media company's conferences or publications. In this sense, Science|Business joins the Transparency Register as an "interest-related media or research organisation linked to private profit-making interests", due to the private-sector companies among its members, and as described in the Transparency Register Implementing Guidelines. Our goal is to improve the climate for research and innovation through better communications among all parties, private and public.
