Main EU Legislative Proposals: The EU Tobacco Excise Directive (formally “COUNCIL DIRECTIVE 2011/64/EU of 21 June 2011 on the structure and rates of excise duty applied to manufactured tobacco”)

Communication Activities: Scandinavian Tobacco Group did not organize any significant events or campaigns related to the above EU policies in 2022. However, we were active in and through our two Brussels-based industry associations - the European Smoking Tobacco Association and the European Cigar Manufacturers Association (see below) - in their work regarding these and related issues.
