Goals: The Islamic Community in Bosnia and Herzegovina is the sole and united community and through the institution of The Grand Mufti it has jurisdiction over the entire Bosnia and Herzegovina as well as Croatia, Slovenia, Sanjak, Serbia and Bosnian communities around the globe including all western European countries.
Some of the main goals:
- Promoting good and preventing evil.
- Protecting the authenticity of the Islamic ethical norms and assuring their proper interpretation and application.
- Taking care of the Islamic education and upbringing of its members.
- Assuring the religious rights of Muslims and joining efforts strengthening freedom of religion as a fundamental human right.
- Supporting and promoting activities concerning peace, intra- and interreligious dialogue, integration and coexistence.
- Advocating cooperation while rejecting isolation.
- Countering radicalism, extremism and terrorism.
