Mission & Interests
Goals: The REACH Alliance is an “association de fait” regrouping and representing a number of sectors in the Inorganics Industry: ferro-alloys, cement, ceramics & expanded clay, gypsum, iron & steel, industrial minerals & lime, metallic ores, paper, precast concrete, ready-mixed concrete, concrete admixtures, carbon & graphite, glass. This Alliance roughly represents a total turnover of 335 billion Euro, manufactures about 2.3 billion tonnes of products and provides direct employment to over 1.75 million people.
The purpose of the Association is to represent the interest of its members vis-à-vis the European Institutions, their related Agencies (e.g. ECHA) and Committees or groups (e.g. CARACAL) in the context of the REACH Regulation 1907/2006 (EC) and CLP Regulation 1272/2008 (EC), and the overarching Chemical Strategy for Sustainability.
