Mission & Interests
Goals: Qairos Energies is a french company created in July 2019 which aims to create ecosystems for the production of green gases from agricultural biomass.
A first unit for the production of hydrogen, methane and liquid CO2 from the pyrogasification of locally grown hemp straw will be set up in Trangé (Sarthe). This project will have a nominal production capacity of 5MWh, in correlation with the energy needs of the territory of the Le Mans Sarthe metropolitan pole. 150 to 200 farmers will produce the 10,000 t of annual hemp straw necessary for the proper functioning of the unit. A promotion of the various hemp products is included in the ecosystem (seeds, flowers, fibers).
Construction should start in 2023 and allow the creation of forty direct jobs.
Eventually, other similar production units will emerge in France and Europe (Spain, Germany) with hydrogen and methane production adapted to local needs, with a maximum capacity of 3.5 t/day of hydrogen or 450 Nm3/h of methane.
