Mission & Interests

Goals: Polyor SAS is a small R&D unit based in Nancy (France). Dedicated to fertilizer management & sustainable agriculture, Polyor has developed AgroNum (www.polyor.fr), an ergonomic AI algorithm for N-fertilizer recommendations. Sustainable target yields for non-leguminous field-crops are set using a unique plot-specific N-fertilizer response curve. Farmers need only indicate the plot's centermost GPS coordinates. This fine tuning of N-fertilizer recommendations ensures that soil organic matter is conserved and/or accumulated over time. AgroNum ensures that crop residues contain sufficient nitrogen to be properly humified into stable soil organic matter.

Activities

Communication Activities: Polyor SAS has prepared a number of technical working documents, adapted from Polyor's intellectual property portfolio. Feel free to contact Pierre-Philippe CLAUDE, Polyor's ceo to obtain copies. For starters, herein referenced articiles and further reading as mentionned in www.polyor.fr. There are 3 topics corresponding to the said working documents ; (i) Benchmarking sustainable cropping practices, (ii) Sustainable target-yields and N-fertilizer rates, (iii) In situ innovative treatment & input assessment, and (iv) Azotobacterial fertilization (AZB). Since 2008, Pierre-Philippe CLAUDE, Ph.D., agrologist, has developed a simple and ergonomic approach to sustainable agriculture & integrated fertilizer management (ifm). He initially developed azotobacterial fertilization (AZB™). More recently, a digital approach using artificial intelligence (AI) - AgroNum™ - has been the primary goal of Polyor SAS’s R&D effort. An exhaustive georeferenced database and an industrial property (IP) portfolio incarnate this innovative approach to sustainable agriculture and ifm. Founded in 2008 by Pierre-Philippe CLAUDE, Polyor has since perfected the R&D and industrial property (IP) aspects applicable to sustainable agriculture, integrated fertilizer management & on-farm experimentation involving innovative fertilizers such as azotobacterial fertilization (AZB™). As a result, an innovative and simple to use method - AgroNum™ - for evaluating the sustainability of cropping practices and calculating fertilizer recommendations has been developed. Breaking with the usual approaches to integrated fertilizer management (ifm) and precision agriculture, Polyor & Pierre-Philippe CLAUDE emphasize the ergonomics & simplicity of agricultural consultancy dedicated to sustainable agriculture and ifm. Polyor has acquired some thirty (34) franco-european patents stemming from its own R&D of integrated fertilizer management and azotobacterial fertilization (AZB™) and, more recently numerical and artificial intelligence solutions dedicated to sustainable agriculture (AgroNum™). Polyor IP and R&D is tripartite; (i) diagnosis and monitoring of the in-situ activity of azotobacterial fertilization, AZB™, (ii) different AZB™ formulations to facilitate its preparation and field application, and finally (iii) evaluation of the sustainability of cropping practices & schedules most capable of benefiting from AZB™’s efficacy, a sort of 2nd generation integrated fertilizer management, even more expressly dedicated to the development of sustainable agriculture (AgroNum™). The latter is particularly reliant on numerical methods and artificial intelligence.
