Activities
Main EU Legislative Proposals: The Polish Association for National Security (PTBN) is interested in the internal security area (DG HOME) and transport and mobility (DG MOVE). PTBN is targeted at critical infrastructure protection and hybrid threats.
Communication Activities: Selected public debate initiatives on the security area implemented by PTBN in 2021-2023:
In October 2023, Dr. Jedrzej Lukasiewicz, Vice President for Design, participated in the 10th National Forum on Critical Infrastructure Protection at the Prime Minister's Office, presenting the results of projects in the security of unmanned systems.
In March 2023, a workshop on assessing security controls at seaports and strategic energy facilities located within them was held in Gdynia. The workshop was organized in cooperation with EU Protective Security Advisors (initiatives at the European Commission's DG HOME) under the honorary patronage of the Government Security Center. The workshop was attended by representatives of critical energy infrastructure operators, Polish seaports, law enforcement agencies, special services and civilian and military counter-terrorism units.
November 2022. The Polish National Security Society became a party to the Sector Agreement for Offshore Wind Energy Development in Poland. Members of the Society will participate in the work of the Working Group: Stakeholder Cooperation and Regulatory Environment - in the substantive scope of the subgroup on security, defense and protection of the national border.
In September 2022, PTBN representatives took part in the National CI Protection Forum, presenting the results of their projects on the security of unmanned systems and anti-terrorist protection of rail transport on the territory of Poland.
Participation in the work of the "Task Force for the development of security standards for Critical Infrastructure Operators in the prevention, response and mitigation of the effects of threats posed by unmanned systems" established under the aegis of the RCB and the Minister of Infrastructure's plenipotentiary for drones and with the participation of a number of state institutions and external experts (March - September 2022).
PTBN, together with the European Commission's DG HOME, organized training courses dedicated to protecting religious sites from terrorist attacks under the honorary patronage of the Head of the National Security Bureau.
On March 14, 2022, a training course was conducted for representatives of the Union of Jewish Communities in the Republic of Poland with the support of the Center for Security and Crisis Management of the European Jewish Congress.
On May 13, 2022, training was conducted for representatives of the Catholic Church.
The training was also attended by representatives of the Police, the State Protection Service and local authorities responsible for crisis management and public order.
In December 2021, PTBN members Dr. Karolina Wojtasik (University of Silesia) and Dr. Jędrzej Łukasiewicz (Poznan University of Technology) presented PTBN Reports at a meeting of the Policy Group on Protection of Public Spaces hosted by the European Commission's DG Home.
