Mission & Interests
Goals: The PM² Alliance is an international, not-for-profit organisation. Founded by PM² practitioners, the PM² Alliance brings together individuals from institutions, companies and the academia to inspire dialogue, share resources, and address the field’s challenges while promoting the wider adoption of the PM² Methodology. The PM² Alliance offers volunteer opportunities for members and non‐members alike. The community has a direct and critical impact on PM² Alliance’s governance (as with the methodology’s development) as volunteers also serve on the PM² Alliance’s Council. We provide a forum, a learning platform, and a place to share experiences and best practices. As the world’s only society of its kind, the PM² Alliance strengthens the community’s collective voice through strong leadership, promotion of the highest standards, and recognition of professional excellence. Activities
Main EU Legislative Proposals: i) Digital Single Market Strategy that strives to create a harmonized digital marketplace across EU member states.
ii) EU's Green Deal and Climate Policies that can form a comprehensive plan to establish Europe as the world's first climate-neutral continent.
iii) Digital Education Action Plan and the Digital Skills and Jobs Coalition that aim to foster a digitally competent workforce through enhanced digital literacy and targeted skills training.
iv) Data protection and Privacy. The General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) sets the standard for safeguarding personal data, and it is essential to comply with GDPR guidelines when handling such information.
As a not-for-profit organisation, aligning with these legislative proposals and policies allows us to contribute to the advancement of Europe's digital transformation, sustainable practices, digital skills development, data protection standards, and lifelong learning opportunities.
Communication Activities: 1. Organisation of the PM² Alliance Social Event in Brussels (March 24, 2023), which allowed PM² Alliance members as well as the whole PM² community to connect, network and share their insights and views (link: https://www.pm2alliance.eu/events/pm2-alliance-social-event-brussels-mar-24th-2023/).
2. - Participation in the PMI Croatia PMI Forum (November 7-9, 2022), with a keynote presentation on the PM² Project Management Methodology, delivered by the CEO of the PM² Alliance, Mr Nicos Kourounakis (link: https://www.pm2alliance.eu/our-news/pmi-croatia-pmi-forum-2022/).
- Delivery of the PfM² MasterClass on Organisational Portfolio Management at the PMI Forum which was designed to help participants learn more about portfolio management and help them understand how they can incorporate the PfM² Portfolio Management best practices into their organisation (link: https://www.pm2alliance.eu/our-news/pfm2-methodology-masterclass-in-organisational-portfolio-management/).
3. Organisation of the PM² Alliance 2020 International Conference “Moving Forward: The PM² Advantage”, (30 November – 1 December, 2020) bringing together representatives from Institutions, Member States’ public administration, PM² Practitioners, Trainers, and PM² Methodology Experts, to share their personal experiences in using the PM² Advantage to benefit and evolve their Organisations. The presentations and discussions focused on the use of Project Management best practices and Methodologies helping organisations face the challenges of project performance, engagement with clients and keeping up with the complexities of managing contractors and outsourced projects (link: https://www.pm2alliance.eu/conference/pm2-alliance-2020-international-conference-moving-forward-the-pm2-advantage/).
