Mission & Interests

Goals: PA Europe provides political advice and operational support to Governments, industries and NGOs in several parts of Europe through its offices in Brussels and The Hague. PA Europe has sister organisations in Asia (PA Asia - Hong Kong, Jakarta) and the Middle East (Muscat). PA Europe helps develop and manage strategic and corporate communications of various clients from different fields (food, energy, environment, biotech, telecoms, cybersecurity etc.) vis-à-vis 3-party stakeholders – which provides PA with a very broad view of EU policies. Activities

Main EU Legislative Proposals: PA Europe and the PA International Foundation focus at 4 holistically integrated securities: water security, food security/food safety, job security and information security. Most if not all PA dossiers coincide with these focal points. Through the PA International Foundation advice and services are provided free of charge. Through PA Europe services are provided to clients through contractual agreements. In the past 5 years Antimicrobial Resistance, air pollution, cancerous chemicals, (child) malnutrition and neglected diseases have been among both Foundation and company activities. In terms of regulatory work the focus of PA Europe is currently at: - Guidance on submission of food enzymes dossiers in line with the new EU Transparency Regulation - Reg. (EC) No 1107/2009, SUD, SUR: re-authorization of low-risk biological plant protection products / High-level communications with Members of the European Commission and hybrid meetings on the realization of the transition from chemical to microbial and biological plant protection products / Consultations with food industries on EU soil degradation caused by overuse of damaging chemical pesticides - Aerosols - Cybersecurity - High-level communications with Members of the European Commission and hybrid meetings on the instrumentalization of the EU’s de-risking strategy at the outer borders of the EU / Consultations with the European Parliament, national EU MS Parliaments and several EU MS Governments on matters of de-risking/not de-coupling - Senior-level communications with EU diplomats and hybrid meetings on the weakening relationship between the EU and Indonesia in spite of the increasing relevance of Indonesia’s geopolitical and economic power including as leader of ASEAN - US-EU security relations - EU-Indonesia relations - Assistance to Ukraine - Consultations on Middle East and Gaza - Child malnutrition in Indonesia through OTIFA - Establishing an International Business School in Tasikmalaya, Indonesia - Promoting the development of bacteriophages in the EU combating AMR - Articles and meetings on Antimicrobial Resistance
Communication Activities: - Organization of a hybrid seminar at the media center of the Dutch Second Chamber in The Hague addressing serious security issues related to the use of certain scanning equipment and services by (EU) customs authorities - Publication of articles on StopAMR.eu addressing Antimicrobial Resistance
