Goals: Nordic Electrofuel AS (NEF) will produce high quality, carbon neutral, synthetic fuels and other fossil replacement products, based on water, carbon dioxide/monoxide and renewable power. NEF will build the world first commercial Power-to-Liquid plant called E-fuel 1 at Herøya Industrial Park in Porsgrunn, Norway. The E-fuel 1 is designed for an annual production capacity of 10 million liter/year resulting in a reduction of the CO2 footprint by 25 000 tons/year. The demonstration plant will be the steppingstone for a full-scale plant with a capacity of 200 million liter/year which will reduce CO2 with 500 000 tons/year. Our ambition is to have installed a capacity of 1 bn liter/year with an annual CO2 reduction of 2.5 million tons by 2033, while our 2050 target is a production capacity of 25 bn liter/year which leads to GHG savings of 62.5 million tons/year. Our main target market is the aviation industry by producing Sustainable Aviation Fuel (SAF).
