Mission & Interests

Goals: Center for Local Government is Belgrade-based think-tank dealing with good governance, fight against corruption and introduction of European standards at local level both in Serbia and Western Balkans. In addition, our goal is to promote regional cooperation and partnerships, reconciliation and adherence of Western Balkans to the European Union and Euro-Atlantic community.

Activities

Main EU Legislative Proposals: One of the main focuses of the Center for Local Government is to encourage further enlargement of the EU (policy: EU enlargement) and to help, guide and support the local governments in the candidate countries to meet EU values, laws and standards. That is why we shell seek to establish contacts first and foremost in the DG NEAR and the EEAS.

Complementary Information: Center for Local Government, Belgrade is NGO organisation with strong presence in media and in the field. We are successfully implemented all of our activities thanks to the volunteer engagement of our members and associates. We would also like to continue to be active in submission of project applications in the frame of national and EU proposals and funds. It will be one of the ways that will contribute to the organizational and financial stabilization of the Center of Local Government in the future.
