Mission & Interests

Goals: Following our creation announced in July 20202, we would like to take a new step in our joint ambition to accelerate the development of energies and technologies sustaining new, lower-carbon models in transport and logistics to reach carbon neutral objectives. To achieve genuine technological breakthroughs with tangible results by 2030, our three main key goals are: • Unlock a more extensive portfolio of clean energy sources, • Decrease the energy consumption per kilometer-equivalent of goods mobility • Reduce the proportion of emissions linked to transport and logistics; We are already a group of 19 partners: Airbus, Airliquide, AWS, Bureau Veritas, Carrefour, Cluster Maritime Français, CMA CGM, Crédit Agricole, Engie, Faurecia, GRT Gaz, K+N, Michelin, PSA International Pte Ltd, Rolls Royce, Schneider Electric, Total, VEOLIA and Wärtsilä. 2021 having a structuring year where not less than 7 projects work have launched 1. Activities

Main EU Legislative Proposals: Renewable Energy Directive (RED) ; FuelEU maritime ; EU system for monitoring, reporting and verification of CO2 emissions from maritime transport ; EU emission Trading System (ETS) ; Alternative Fuels Infrastructure Directive (AFIR) ; Energy Taxation Directive (ETD) We are active in all FIT455 packages linked to transport energies (Fuel EU, ETS...) We are doing the support of the RLCF Alliance on Round Table 3 linked to Maritime transport
Communication Activities: We have published in April 2021 a white paper on bio methane and e-methane. We have conducted an event in July 2022 in South of France about E-fuels potential (e methanol, e-methane Hydrogen and ammonia...) - 8th of July 2022 We have worked this year on vessel dismantling challenges, e-saf potential, biofuels developments... We have answered EU consultations relative to ETS and new energies, CCUS, UDB...

Info Members: The Coalition is supported by a team of 2 FTE working actively to facilitate exchanges between the members of the coalition and to follow the progress of each working group Inside the 18 working groups of the coalition, we have a total of almost 100 FTE working partially on the deliverable of the coalition.We ave considered that 5 people were spending 10% of their time on regulatory subject linked to renewable energies + 15 people working on projects to develop renewable energies. We are answering consultations, participating to round tables, conference linked to eu Policies, EC experts group...
