Goals: Obiettivo principale del Movimento Antispecista (M.A.) è la diffusione dell’etica aspecista ed il supporto agli aderenti che ricoprano incarichi statutari in organismi istituzionali nazionali e comunitari allo scopo di giungere alla formazione di normative che tengano pienamente conto degli esseri senzienti non umani come sancito dall'art. 13 del Trattato sul Funzionamento dell'Unione.

Main EU Legislative Proposals: Proposte legislative e politiche della UE riguardanti:
- agricoltura e alimentazione

- Regolamento REACH 1907/2006 sulle sostanze chimiche (in particolare test su animali)
- Direttiva 2010/63 sulla protezione degli animali utilizzati nella sperimentazione
- Regolamenti sulla autorizzazione e commercializzazione dei farmaci ad uso veterinario e umano

Communication Activities: -Diffusione di osservazioni sulla direttiva 2010/63 sulla protezione degli animali usati a scopo scientifico.
-Pubblicazione e consegna al Ministero della Salute italiano del documento 'Sul superamento della sperimentazione animale' (v. documento relativo nel sito www.movimentoantispecista.org sotto la voce 'Dossier') con suggerimenti per modifiche alle normative UE al riguardo. Documento inviato anche ai membri del Parlamento italiano e ai M.E.P. italiani nel 2015, 2016, 2017, 2018, 2019,2020.
-Partecipazione alla visita al JRC di Ispra in data 29/9/2017 con riferimento ai test sui metodi alternativi.
-Iscrizione nel registro degli stakeholders del Forum ESTAFF dell'EURL-ECVAM dal 2018 e partecipazione alle attività relative.
-Partecipazione alle conferenze online organizzate dalla Commissione Europea sui temi suddetti (ES. ultima il 16 maggio 2023 sull'EURL ECVAM Report 2022.
-Partecipazione al webinar del 23 marzo 2021 organizzato dell'ESTAF (EURL_ECVAM di Ispra) sul Rapporto EURL-ECVAM 2020.
-Partecipazione alle consultazioni del Registro per la trasparenza.
-Diffusione agli iscritti e ad altre associazioni delle informazioni relative alle attività sopra elencate.

Complementary Information: The association statute prohibits any kind of financial income, management or contribution (e.g. members fees, donations, inheritance, fund raising, a.s.o.), but for a legal garantee fund (e.g. 250 euros) by italian law requirement to guarantee third parties rights. The association operates therefore on the basis of free and voluntary personal work. No expenses are payed by the association and no fees or fund reining is allowed by statute. Any member pays his own expenses when workin for the association. The legal fund of 250 euros is guaranteed by the Secretary. Offie equiment and related expenses are a free loan of the Secretary to the association, therefore the yearly budget only consist of the 250 euros legal fund.

Info Members: The ‘Movimento Antispecista’ is a non profit organization. The association's statute prohibits any kind of financial income , money management or contribution (e.g. members fees, donations, inheritances, fund raising, a.s.o.). A legal garantee fund was guaranteed (258 euros) by italian law requirement regiarding private associations. The association operates therefore by free and voluntary work, no expenses being allowed for reimbursment, to avoid any personal concern against the association’s mission, no copyrights are allowed. A quarterly online Newsletter (Notiziario) is published as well as daily news, reports, comments on EU or national regulations concernig the association mission, as well as participation in the EU Commission’s and/or JRC EURL ECVAM (ESTAF) online meetings wherever invited to, or in the italian government’s ‘Table for Alternative Methodologies’ when set up.
