Mission & Interests

Goals: Die Succow Stiftung ist eine national wie international operativ wirkende Stiftung. Sie folgt dem Leitgedanken: Erhalten, Haushalten, Werthalten. Die Stiftung setzt Projekte auf vier Kontinenten zu Klimaschutz, Schutzgebieten, zukunftsfähiger Landnutzung sowie zur Nachwuchsförderung um. Sie pflegt enge Kooperationen mit wissenschaftlichen und zivilgesellschaftlichen Institutionen, allen voran im Rahmen des Greifswald Moor Centrum und Biosphere.Centre. Die Michael Succow Stiftung verfolgt dabei satzungsgemäß vier übergeordnete Ziele: 1. Entwicklung und Förderung von Welterbegebieten, Nationalparken und Biosphärenreservaten auf nationaler und internationaler Ebene 2. Schutz und Entwicklung von Feuchtgebieten, insbesondere von Mooren und Sümpfen 3. Förderung des Naturschutzgedankens durch wissenschaftliche Leistungen, ökologische Bildung und Öffentlichkeitsarbeit 4. Förderung internationaler Beziehungen in Naturschutz und Ökologie
