Activities
Main EU Legislative Proposals: The below-mentioned issues are followed in order to contribute to the single market with e-commerce and omni-channel retail and bringing a high level of food safety as well as respecting sustainabilty in retail. Contribution to EU discussions is given mainly via associations, as well as via direct input to the work of the European Parliament's Committees, Commission's consultations, etc.

Info Members: METRO AG has one permanent position in its Brussels office. Moreover, within the Corporate Public Policy Department, 3 colleagues are suporting EU concrete dossiers or activities. Several experts from different teams such as Legal & Competition, Sustainability and Quality Assurance support the EU public policy team in its daily activities, e.g. by providing expert input into position papers, consultation or activities within the framework of associations. The Senior Vice President for Corporate Responsibility and Public Policy is also member of EuroCommerce's Board of Directors (10%).
