Goals: materialkreislauf. Studio für Material- und Kreislaufwirtschaft informs, raises awareness, and engages different stakeholders in their circular economy journeys. The mission is to make the circular economy a reality by connecting key players in a circular transition: mainly focusing on Central Europe and the german-speaking countries, where CC is bridging tow-down bottom-up circular approaches, mapping stakeholders and enabling them to connect to international organizations (such as WEF, EMF, ECESP, The Circulars, Circular Hotspot, ...), access a network of circular economy experts and good practices. materialkreislauf supports its partners in the systemic circular transformation, enables stakeholders to design and implement strategic, transformational and engagement programmes.

Activities

Main EU Legislative Proposals: EU Green Deal, Circular Economy Action Plan, Plastic pact, Green Recovery Alliance Focusing on the DACHS region (German-speaking countries including South Tyrol/Italy), actively contribute to the public dialogue, the introduction of Circular Economy legal framework to different stakeholders. Bridging private and public sector in the dialogue and informing the broader public for effective implementation of EU legislation.
Communication Activities: In the context of the European Week of Waste Reduction (https://ewwr.eu/) organize a yearly exhibition and events to showcase the ideas and tangible solutions of a circular economy to the broader public in Southern Germany and, eventually, beyond. Involving all sectors: cities/municipalities, business, NGO's "Circular Hackathons" (https://www.unesco.de/bildung/bne-akteure/circular-hackathons-schulen)at high-schools with undergraduate students who get in touch with the ideas of a circular economy to develop their first own circular solutions within a 3-day hackathon-like format.
