Mission & Interests
Goals: Make Mothers Matter (MMM) is the only global NGO created in 1947 representing and defending mothers. We are apolitical and non denominational. We advocate for the cause of mothers and their contribution to sustainable development. We have an expanding network of 45 organisations from 30 countries around the world.
We work with representatives at the United Nations (with a General Consultative Status to ECOSOC) in New York, Geneva and Vienna, at UNESCO in Paris and at the European Union.
Raise awareness of policy-makers on the challenges faced by mothers (EC, EP, EESC, EU Council etc.)
Propose concrete measures to support mothers in the workplace and at home
Monitor and research policies affecting mothers
Analyse policy measures and communicate the views of mothers to be taken into account in the preparation of legislative and non legislative proposals
Represent the interests of our member associations
