Activities

Main EU Legislative Proposals: MEDISDIH Scarl, the Regional Mechatronic Technological Cluster and Digital Innovation Hub of Apulia, is the evolution of the Technological Cluster MEDIS Scarl operating since already ten years on the Apulian territory in compliance with a memorandum of understanding jointly signed with Apulia Region. For this reason MEDISDIH follows the activities going on at the European Regional and Urban policy DG. MEDISDIH integrated Digital Innovation Hub activities, in addition to those of Technological Cluster, after participating to an I4MS call for feasibility study for the constitution of a Digital Innovation Hub in the Apulian territory. Since that moment MEDISDIH is closely interacting in the frame of I4MS European initiative also with other European Digital Innovation Hubs and it is still closely following other I4MS initiatives for further implementing digital technologies on the Apulian territory. MEDISDIH coordinated also an EDIH proposal in the frame of the EU restricted call for the establishment of an initial network of European Digital Innovation Hubs, to be funded under Digital Europe Programme, which received the "Seal od Excellence" (SoE) by European Commission. EDIH-SoE proposal by MEDISDIH is waiting for being funded by Italian Ministry of Enterprises and Made in Italy (MIMIT) through national PNRR funds. MEDISDIH, together with its EDIH consortium partners, aims thus gaining an even more reasonable institutional role on the Apulian regional territory and to be entitled to operate with fruitful effectiveness to develop solid Best Practices ensuring a uniform take in charge of customers all over the network. Joined activities and services with different ecosystem stakeholders and Hubs from different European areas will be also pursued in order to contribute to reinforce European digital leadership. MEDISDIH is also closely following the Digitizing European Industry initiative, by participating to group meetings and closely following its updates also in streaming. MEDISDIH also follows activities going on at the European Informatics DG. MEDISDIH is participating in Cluster Collaboration, Enterprise Europe Network and Smart Specialization Platforms.
Communication Activities: MEDISDIH managed two Regional Workshops held in the frame of I4MS feasibility study for the constitution of the Apulian Digital Innovation Hub, and attended several European workshops/initiatives dedicated to DIH. MEDISDIH organized a "Community Day" event in the frame of a European project (DIH-WORLD) for raising awareness, building and reinforcing European/Italian DIH ecosystem and the DIHs benefits towards industry, supporting creation of a trusted community of DIHs that can collaborate in concrete projects for SMEs, learn from each other and share knowledge and experiences at the service of SMEs and Pas digitalisation process. MEDISDIH supported and organized together with other Italian DIHs the “1° Italian DIH-World Community Day” on the green and digital transition of Italian manufacturing SMEs . MEDISDIH, following its communication activities roadmap, aims to go on in preparing a series of coming soon communication events on Digital Innovation Hub services and networking activities to support and implement digital culture and organization among local SMEs and regional policy makers to raise awareness on importance of supporting digitization/I4.0 culture within the local Companies/Enterprises.
