Goals: Fintraffic provide and develop traffic control and management services in all traffic forms. Our services support the mobility of citizens, the needs and transports of commerce, the operations of safety authorities as well as Finland’s competitiveness and well-being. We collect and administer open data and create opportunities for the new business that is created in the market. Our company provides and develops advanced new services and contributes to the growth of traffic ecosystems. We operate national access points on public transport data, traffic data and logistics (eFTI). We constantly develop these services and communicate with european parties and try to impact to future of those. We are a special assignment group operating under the ownership steering of the Ministry of Transport and Communications.

Main EU Legislative Proposals: eFTI (Electronic Freight Transport Informaiton) REGULATION (EU) 2020/1056 eMSW ( European Maritime Single Window environment) REGULATION (EU) 2019/1239 AFIR (Alternative Fuels Infrastructure Regulation) REGULATION (EU) 2023/1804 MMTIS (Multimodal travel information services) (REGULATION (EU) 2017/1926 Fintraffic are developing and hosting these in Finland.

Communication Activities: Digital Transport and Logistics Forum (DTLF) , Digital Transport and Trade Facilitation Committee (DTTF), CINEA CEF funded eFTI4EU project where Fintraffic is part of the project, but not beneficiary. NAPCORE (National Access Point Coordination Organisation for Europe). Dataspace Alliance. Sesar program. Fintraffic participate on these forums.
