Mission & Interests
Goals: LACA is a voluntary umbrella committee bringing together independent experts and 22 UK major library and archive associations, groups and institutions to advocate for a fair and balanced copyright regime. LACA works with government and stakeholders to address copyright, related rights and licensing issues affecting library and archives’ ability to fully deliver access to knowledge in the digital age.

Info Members: Lobbying on behalf of LACA is done by volunteers from the group's membership on a part-time ad hoc basis only. LACA's focus is primarily the UK, but it also lobbies from time to time within Europe on relevant matters, mainly by responding to appropriate consultations or writing to Commissioners, civil servants or MEPs. The 'number of persons engaged in specific activities covered by the Register' amounts to one 0.25 FTE person per year.
